How did you get started in making art that empowers people?
I have always been surrounded with people who are living with mental ill health and that has had a huge impact on my art work. It took me to feel at my lowest to produce the work that I am creating today. I think art is such an important way to communicate how we feel and a way to express ourselves. I create continuous line drawings of figures and faces which I find in itself a very therapeutic when I work I can lose myself and not think about anything which is something really enjoy.
What do you do for self-care?
There are so many things I consider self-care I wouldn’t know where to begin. I really find tidying my room while listening to a good podcast very uplifting. My room is always messy so when I am able to take my time and do this It really helps clear my mind. I also love sitting with friends chatting wearing facemasks and watching something wholesome and motivational. I think looking after your mind and soul is such an important part of looking after yourself as it is so easily looked over.
