How did you get started in making art that empowers people?

I've always been interested in art and illustration, but I didn't start incorporating it into my self-care practice until I began going to therapy. Once I started doodling and journaling about the growth I was experiencing, I posted a few doodles on Instagram. It felt like a big risk to be vulnerable with strangers on the internet, but it led to so many beautiful new connections. It's such an empowering experience to find common ground with people all over the world through my illustrations.

What do you do for self-care?

Therapy is my number one self-care practice, but it's no joke! It takes a lot of hard emotional work, but is so worth it. I also find value in meditation, yoga, walks, journaling, and doodling.
