How did you get started in making art that empowers people? 

I've always liked doing art however since starting at college studying graphic design I found that creating work surrounding positive mental health feels most rewarding to me. I've personally had a fair few struggles with mental illnesses myself and when going through those times I find positive messages and cute illustrations to be really helpful, so I decided to start making some myself. I love the idea of spreading even a tiny bit of positivity to brighten someone's day so I feel as though creating these illustrations is a great way of doing that!

What do you do for self-care? 

I have a few different methods of self care, depending on what I feel I need at the time, sometimes I'll just try and take a day for myself, not forcing myself to do anything other than make sure I'm okay. Other times if I'm feeling a bit more energised I like to draw, a lot, not always creating something for others to see but just doodling and messing about with paints and happy colours. I think my favourite form of self care is spending time with my pets, I know that if I'm having a rough day or just want a little break, I can go and play with my dog or cuddle my cat for a while, it always calms me down and makes me feel better.
