Artist commentary: "Some people with mental illness find therapy helpful, some find medications helpful, and some prefer a combo of both! And that’s okay! With my experience trying various medications for my illnesses, I’ve finally come to accept that medication works for me and I’m not ashamed of it. Just as a person living with diabetes needs insulin to manage their condition, I need a set dose of Prozac to help keep my symptoms under control! A funny term I wanted to incorporate into this design is “if you can’t make your own, store bought is fine”. Some of our brains just aren’t wired to produce enough of things like serotonin or norepinephrine, so supplementing these things with medications is totally okay!"
'If You Can't Make It Yourself, Store Bought Is Fine (Shop Sundae x NAMI)' is available in crewneck t-shirts and sweatshirts, ranging from sizes XS-5XL.
