SuicidePreventionMonth2022

Help Us Stop Suicide

Throughout the month of September 2022, in honor of National Suicide Prevention Month, we have partnered with AFSP, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. AFSP is dedicated to saving lives and bringing hope to those affected by suicide, including those who have had a loss.

AFSP creates a culture that’s smart about mental health through education and community programs, develops suicide prevention through research and advocacy, and provides support for those affected by suicide

This is the third year in a row we have collaborated with our friends at AFSP. Suicide prevention is a cause that is at the center of our mission, to spread reminders and prevent suicide.

This month, we are spotlighting 4 designs where 100% of net profits from this collection will be donated back to AFSP.

We're All In This Together

Suicide prevention starts right in our own communities.

Having open, honest discussions about mental health in your circles, checking in with your friends, and asking for help when you need it, are small actions that can lead to bigger change. AFSP commissioned Devon Blow aka @devthepineapple for this unifying reminder.

Just imagine if we could walk together toward a world without suicide. Since 2002, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s Out of the Darkness Walks have brought friends, neighbors, family members and colleagues together to walk through their communities to raise public awareness and funds to support suicide prevention, including education programs in local schools and workplaces; support for those who’ve lost loved ones; advocacy for critical mental health and suicide prevention legislation; and scientific research that helps us learn more how we can save more lives.

September is National Suicide Prevention Month, and we want you to join us as we make strides in saving lives, and bringing hope, one step at a time, to those affected by suicide.

One Step At A Time

This original piece (designed by @shopsundae) speaks to the resilience it takes to keep showing up day after day, moment by moment, step by step, when you are someone who struggles with thoughts of self-harm or suicide.

This reminder, 'one step at a time' also serves as a reminder for the advocates and supporters in this space. Building out a suicide prevention support infrastructure that can support everyone who needs it is a lifelong mission. Big strides were made in space this year with the launch of 988, a simple-to-remember 3-digit helpline that connects folks in need to a supportive crisis lifeline worker that can provide compassionate support as well as helpful resources to tap into. One step a time we will continue fighting to create a world without suicide.

You've Survived All Of
Your Toughest Days

This reminder represents strength in this collection. These majestic animals have been representing the inner strength and ferociousness we all have inside of us that we tap into regularly to get through our most difficult days and struggles. Yet tigers are still tender animals and just because we may survive these difficult times, it’s not without making space for feeling our feelings and getting a good cry out when that is what serves. Finding the courage to get through challenging mental health days takes a lot of strength.

We’re such huge fans of @inkusdingus artwork and she really nailed that delicate mix of strength and tenderness we were hoping for with this design and concept. Sometimes in the darkest of moments we may need little reminders to keep us going. We hope this design is able to support those who need it on the hard days.

You Are Not Alone

The hope is to promote community care and remind those in need that they are not alone, even in the most painful of moments.

We envision a world where suicide is no longer a leading cause of death and everyone feels confident in taking care of their mental health, while staying connected and attuned to the mental health of others.

We are all in this together...

Suicide Prevention Begins With All Of Us.

Tomorrow is a New Day

This reminder represents hope in this collection. Brought to life by the wonderful @lisadotdesign this message is meant to remind us that no matter how difficult of a day we may find ourselves in, it’s never too late or too early in the day to decide to treat yourself to some essential self-care… grab something to eat, take a nice shower, take a few deep breaths, and if it’s available to you, go to sleep!

Some days may just require you to focus on yourself and just getting through that difficult day you’re having, knowing that tomorrow is a brand new day full of new opportunities, interactions, and challenges. Take it easy and try again tomorrow. Tomorrow is always available to you, filled with all its opportunities of newness.
